So, update already!

Some of us state-siders want to see what's happening during your adventure.

I just happened to stumble across your blog and found it fascinating. I must admit I have read most of it. Belatedly I realized that I might be imposing.
Do you mind?

Hey I just somehow found your blog from another blog (for the PC trainee group going to Benin), and I just wanted to say Salaam and that I'm totally jealous bizef. I was a trainee in Morocco in 2003, but I got evacuated. I unfortunately fell off my mountain in Ait Ali Oumhand (near Benlueedan), and busted up my knee. I was in the Health sector, and I've been trying to get back to Morocco ever since. My Moroccan name was Layla, and I was learning Tamazight. I'm pretty rusty right now, but I feel it could comeback under the right circumstances, Inshallah. I finally got another PC assignment to Benin. Hopefully it will be half as cool as Maroc.

Doug,

It's so wonderful you're doing this. The photos are an amazing port into your fabulously bizarre world. They're beautiful. And I particularly love the disclaimer. I didn't know you were such a talented writer... of course, I never realized what an impressive Wookie Axel would make, either. I don't know what an eid is but I'm sure yours are just fine. I hope you brought your Doug doll to keep you company. Thanks for allowing us into your world.

Thinking of you!!
Beth

Hello,

Pictures of Amezmiz are fabulous. It is my favorite village in Morocco. I loved every minutes I spent there. And the sky at night, felt like I was touching the stars. Everything about the region is great, the little village up the stream, the smile of the Imazighen. Well, I envy you:-)

Welcome home, Doug! I'm glad you're safe & sound. Hurray for you and your great adventure.. I'm really proud of you! I had my baby, Nate The Great Hoss, on August 25th. Wow.. you should try doing that. It's "insane in the membrane". :) Beth

Been sometime since I visited, welcome back to the States! And thanks for taking us along on your journey.

Griff,
I met you this summer in Martil. I was part of the group from Ifrane. I just wanted to say thanks for your insight into the Peace Corp. I have been thinking about applying and your blog has been helpful. I also want to say congrats to your Zags for stealing one of our prized McD's freshman. Maybe if your lucky the Zags will lose to the Jayhawks in the final four. Goodluck in Grad school!

Wow, your blog is way more interesting than mine. Even if you only post twice a year.

Nice work, Vayton. I admire your life.
